The boy who warned me not to smoke.
In the midst of my History lesson, I received a message from Shaheez about going to the hospital. I wasn't as shock until I found out it was ____ who was hospitalized. Called Hanisah and she told me the exact story of what happened to him. Met up with them at Woodlands and headed straight to Tan Tock Seng. Upon reaching his ward, anxiety arrived in me. Walking down the aisle made it even more worst. Finally, the minute I saw him, only God knows how goddamn shock I was. He was in a bad state, with those tubes coming out of his mouth, and the tiny ones on his neck. Hanisah, Taqim, Zulaikha and I were the first four in the group to enter the ICU. His breathing was deep and I can sense how difficult it is to even breathe through the mouth and sucking in the air from that tube. His body was stiff, cold and swollen. He can't even move nor speak. He was unconscious. Found out from an acquaintance that the doctor said chances of him living is 20%. Gosh, what about the other 80%? I was in shock and worry. What's more, he's in ICU for a week already and there were no change. He was at the same state since last Friday when he was admitted. Pumped did not work. The only thing that made him alive till today was the oxygen machine. Apologies because his identity is strictly confidential. Dear ex primary schoolmate, may Allah help and cure you. Taqim, Hamka, Abdullah, Karim, Shaheez, Nicholas, Firdaus, Hanisah, Zulaikha, Shahidah, Azlizan, Arina, Me and the rest will pray to God that you'll be conscious and get well soon. I remember clearly that a month ago, I bumped into you at town and I was excited to tell you we got the same earpiece. You were healthy then, because you spoke to me and smiled at me. But to see you suffering just now was disheartening. It hurts me because we've been friends since 11. Only 20%, friends. How would it feels like if you're in his shoes? Serene and Kenneth should know about this!
